ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages LLC is hiring a Director of Sales (Market Unit) for the western PA territory including parts of WV & OH.


PRIMARY FUNCTION: This role leads the execution of Home Market sales initiatives through the Market Unit (MU) Sales Management team. The incumbent will manage the core functions of the Home Market field execution team and will be accountable for the Merchandising function as well as for People development. The incumbent will also be key in providing feedback and point of view to the National and Regional Customer teams on what works/doesn’t work.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Field Sales Execution

  • Full responsibility for sales execution in all local, regional and national Home Market accounts.
  • Outlet level of responsibility for the execution of all sales priorities and programs, e.g., RED, SMO
  • Manage merchandising expectation ensuring alignment with ACCB & Customer expectations. Manage the Merchandising P&L.

People Management

  • Identify and develop core talent.
  • Coach and develop a team of direct reports while ensuring a culture of learning & development exists throughout MU organization.
  • Leader of Leaders.

Customer Management

  • Responsible for relationships with Home Market accounts serving as the connection point with the VP level of store operations as well as some regional level relationships.
  • Responsible for relationship with Customer teams and Sales Operations teams.
  • Accountable for selling in & adherence to Calendar Marketing Agreements (CMA). Provide feedback to the National Customer teams.

Supply Chain

  • Drives collaboration between supply chain and field execution including sales/delivery route planning.
  • Serves as key enabler for Supply Chain initiatives.

Commercial Leadership

  • Execute and fulfill all channel, package and pricing plans provided by the Commercial Team.
  • Provide a feedback loop to the MUVP on marketplace conditions (includes competition, channel plans, pricing, architecture).

Community & Government Relations

  • Represent ACCB in local government and community forums, as needed, on issues that impact our business.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and ensure execution of all engagement initiatives (e.g., town Halls) across the market unit to drive strong employee engagement.


  • B.A. degree in business required, MS preferred; seven – ten years’ related experience and minimum three years’ as a Manager in field sales; preferably in the goods/beverages DSD industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires experience managing budgets and making customer calls
  • Experienced working with Nielsen and other syndicated data
  • CMA selling experience is required
  • Experience in a collective bargaining environment
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication, planning and organization skills
  • Proficient computer application skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record within MVR policy guidelines
